DOPE – ROY JONES JR

Roy Jones Jr is an American former professional boxer who competed in boxing from 1989 to 2018 and held multiple world championships in four weight classes and is the only boxer in history to start his professional career at light middleweight and go on to win a heavyweight title.

He represented the US at the 1988 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal after one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history.

Jones is considered to be one of the greatest boxers of all time and certainly left his mark in the sports history.

After Jones defeated Hall to retain his undisputed world light heavyweight championship in 2000 both Jones and Hall tested positive for the testosterone precursor androstenedione, although Jones insisted his positive result came from ingesting a supplement called “ripped fuel”

Jones is the only boxer in history to start his career as a Light Middleweight and go on to win a Heavyweight Title.
