Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player, who was recognised by the Association of Tennis Professionals as world number 1 for 310 weeks, including a consecutive 237 weeks.

He won the second most all time ATP singles titles of 103 wins, including 20 Grand Slam titles, a record eight men’s singles Wimbledon titles, an open Era record-tying five men’s singles US open titles and a record six year end championships.

Federer won his first major title at Wimbledon in 2003 at 21 years of age, followed by three of the four major singles titles in 2004.

Federer is a versatile all-court player and his perceived effortlessness has made him highly popular among tennis fans.
